As a private chef, I specialize in food allergies and healing diets for specific conditions like autoimmune diseases, cancer and asthma.  It so happens that many disease states thrive on foods that cause inflammation like gluten and dairy products.  I think that if it is best to eat for our health that we don’t have to stop eating down home comfort foods like meatloaf so I take these classics and tweak the recipes to make them more beneficial for health.

So, here’s a Turkey Meatloaf recipe from my cookbook that I made up for the family of a very big TV star just the other day. Man, did it come out great!
Gluten Free Turkey Meatloaf

2 Packages (2-3 pounds) of Organic Ground Turkey
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 Tablespoon dried basil
1 Tablespoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon thyme
2 cloves garlic pressed
1/3 cup corn syrup free, organic ketchup
1/2 cup seasoned gluten free breadcrumbs (Glutino brand – available at Whole Foods)
Place all of the ingredients in a mixing bowl.

The Masha makes this SO seriously simple that you will want to make meatloaf way more often AND, you will never mix it with your hands again because:
1.  You won’t have to.
2. You won’t ever get the spices mixed evenly and perfectly like the Masha does.

After mixing the spices and the meat, hold the Masha just above your ingredients and run it one more time to extrude any meat that may be on the blade.  Check out this picture and see just how clear the blade is.  I guarantee you would have way more than that on your hands if you used them!
Next, place the meatloaf in a loaf pan and cover the top with more organic ketchup. I placed another pan under the loaf pan to protect the oven from spilling juices.  Sure enough, I need it!

Next, bake at 350 for 50 minutes to an hour.  Please check the center to make certain it is cooked through!
Allow your meatloaf to stand in the pan for about ten minutes before you slice and serve it.  It should feed four to six people.
When you clean your Masha, please be certain to snap off the blade to make sure raw turkey does not get into the crevices of the blade and wash carefully.  Remember, you can also put the cone and blade in the dishwasher.

Enjoy your meatloaf with more ketchup and some delicious green beans on the side!
