I have assisted my star clients in dramatic weight loss with the meal plans I make for them and they have achieved phenomenal, lasting results. I have noticed that there are steps that are necessary to any healthy weight loss plan and I wanted to share them with you.
1. Make the decision. This may sound like a simple step but for most people, it isn’t. If you are going to lose weight and keep it off, you have to get your mind on board first. Your desire coupled with a firm decision is where it all begins. You must get every single cell of your being to resonate with this step. I believe it is the most important part of changing anything in your life.
2. Determination. Once you take that first leap into your firm decision, you will have to call upon your will to fuel the choice you have made. Determination is the power that will carry you through the entire process. Every day, you will call upon this necessary aspect of forward movement to propel you towards your goal.
3. Commitment. Use your determination and your will power to commit to your goal. Commitment is showing up for yourself no matter what. Though you may falter along the way, your firm resolve to sticking with your decision is your commitment. You will need to dedicate yourself to your decision and remain loyal to yourself throughout the process – even after you have reached your goal.
4. A goal and a plan. When you decide that you will lose weight, having a concrete plan and goal in mind are necessary. Make sure your goal is realistic or you may have a tough time sticking to it. Make up a menu plan and prepare your meals for yourself as much as you possibly can. When you have your diet organized and your exercise routine structured in a way that is realistic for your needs and lifestyle, then it makes your goals so much easier to attain. Bear in mind that your weight loss will be 85-90% about your diet and 10-15% about your exercise routine. Your diet is something you do for all time, not just for the amount of time it takes you to meet your goal.
5. Assistance and support. There are so many ways to lose weight out there that it can be overwhelming to choose how you will go about it. Getting help through the transition to healthy weight loss is just as important as your decision to lose the weight. Having someone to assist you with your plan and goal is priceless. Healthy and sustainable weight loss is like learning a new language. You will need a great teacher to help you in becoming fluent in the language of health and wellness.
